My History

Horses have been a big part of my life since a very young age. I've grown up looking after and caring for them for most of my life. I compete with my own horses and I used to be in the pony club when I was younger. I've had the passion for the art and science of shoeing horses from an early age. At the age of 15, I did a 2week work experience with a farrier Paul Roberts DipWCF I

In the Future

My Future aims are to become an Approved Training Farrier (ATF) so I can pass on my knowledge and passion for the Farriery profession. I will be building a forge in the not so distant future. The forge will be a base for my students to learn and shoe making practice. There will be shoeing bays for horses that need specialist corrective or remedial attention.

then continued working and helping him out in my school holidays. Upon leaving school I started my farrier training at Myerscough college, where I underwent a one year course to achieve my forging certificate. Once I had this the next step was to find an Approved Training Farrier, I managed to find Paul Smith DipWCF I then started my 4year apprenticeship with him during this time I attended Warwickshire collage on block release where I took lots of written and practical examinations to achieve my NVQ in Farriery. This NVQ qualified me to take the National Diploma of the Worshipful Company of Farriers examination. Before taking the examination I changed training farriers where I moved down south to Somerset where Ross Cordery DipWCF then Trained me in order to take the examination in November 2011 to which I then set off on my own as a registered farrier.

where I take great satisfaction in aiding horses in their recovery back to soundness.
